Children Books: One-Book-per-Month Program
An Overview:
An innovative program managed by our ESG Bookstore to encourage children of 3 age groups – kindergarten, elementary school and middle school – to read one ESG relevant best book per month and acquire additional skills to help in their growth.
How it works:
- Our editors select 3 books each month for each of the 3 age groups
- Books are updated every month to enable selection from the newest choices
- 3 categories of books – Environmental, Social and Governance – to choose from
- Selected books shipped to the young readers
- Young readers to read the books at their own pace (one book per month)
How does this program benefit the young children:
- At a very early age, the children understand the importance of living sustainably
- They learn to appreciate the environment, natural resources and community living and learn ways to contribute towards its care and growth
- Reading a book every month enhances their critical thinking and reasoning skills
- By exposure to diverse sustainability topics every month, the young readers improve their social and emotional intelligence
- Builds the foundation for future academic success across all subjects by encouraging a love for reading
